Pre-Apprenticeship

[vc_row][vc_column][hcode_space padding_setting=”1″ desktop_padding=”no-padding-top”][vc_column_text]Pre-Apprenticeship program is a great way to start exploring a career in becoming an Insulator and Asbestos Worker for Local 5. There is no experience required to work in the trade our contractors are willing to do on the job training. Once your application is process he/she may call in the next business day to schedule them self for a math exam. Math exams are only scheduled on the 2nd Monday of each month at 8:00 A.M. and would need to be passed with a 70% or higher. By passing this exam it will give you the opportunity to get interviewed in front of the board of trustees. The interview test score will determine how you’ll be placed on our waiting list to enter our pre- apprentice training classes.   • Applications are giving out quarterly and on the first Monday of the month (January, April, July, October) at 8:00 A.M. sharp. Applications will stop being handed out at 9:00 a.m. Anyone showing up after 9 am will be asked to return at the next filling of applications.
  • Processing time is approximately 2 hours
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License
  • Original Social Security Card
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be physically able to perform all duties of the trade
  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
