Pre-Apprenticeship program is a great way to start exploring a career in becoming an Insulator and Asbestos Worker for Local 5. There is no experience required to work in the trade our contractors are willing to do on the job training. Once your application is process he/she may call in the next business day to schedule them self for a math exam. Math exams will be administered on the same day of receiving an application and on the 2nd Monday of each month at 8:00 A.M. A 70% or higher is required in order to move forward in the process. By passing this exam it will give you the opportunity to get interviewed in front of the board of trustees. The interview test score will determine how you’ll be placed on our waiting list to enter our pre- apprentice training classes. Once a pre-apprentice is accepted he/ she will be on their way to succeeding as a registered apprentice.
